Project management is not necessarily focused on a specific set of tools. While they can help with organizing and presenting data, the goal of project management is to organize tasks so that they can be successfully completed. Its important to track data such as available resources, costs, due dates, and available time but its also important to remember that the data has to be readable and understandable by the project principles meaning the person or group that the project is being completed for.
Work Breakdown Structure and other tools can be used to make meetings productive based on goals, focus, progress, and achievements.
